Bringing this blog from online into the modern era took major effort. Our online presence spans continental boundaries which translates to recent regional coverage. The person who first graced the Fresh News Vintage VHS Handycam was Steph London.
Steph London kept tabs on our page and after a follow back he wrote us asking to work. This spur-of-the-moment opportunity jumpstarted an interview excursion. We truly appreciate the nature of this experience as it occurred spontaneously and without much planning.
Often times, throwing things together does not tend to work. However, we hadn’t mustered up any energy to launch this channel into the modern era. The quick exchange led to an interview interaction and the first video ever shot on SONY TRV58 Hi8 Handycam.
The marvelous part about this interview was that we shot it on July 20th, managed to discover how to convert the VHS tape into the computer, edited and published the interview by August 15th.
Steph London shared his versatile traits and how he serves many roles within the 518. We chopped it up about his work in fashion, music, streaming, podcasts vlogging and auto repair. He discussed activism, ways to get fly and truly broke down essential components of performance art.
Toward the end, Steph and his comrade flipped the script and interviewed the videographer !
