Why Jack Harlow’s ‘Monica’ Is the Chill Album We Need

Interestingly enough, in grade school Monica was a substitute name used by white people who tried to sound cool.

Nowadays, everybody is hating on Monica by Jack Harlow. Some claim the switch up in genre is exploitative. Some say he is pursuing the same path as Post Malone or Jelly Roll and will eventually go country. Who defines success? Who is to say what an artist should or should not do besides the artist and their team?

The “What’s Poppin” artist definitely showcased his versatility and staying power with latest R&B collection, “Monica”

Overall, the project must be appreciated because it is calming. Althroughout, the vibes are familiar and necessary due to the tranquil instrumentation. This tape can be played for all kinds of reasons: cool down after a workout, cruising with a fine shorty, cleaning on a Sunday and most importantly – Anger Management.

The tunes sound like something we have heard and enjoyed before. The lyrics are relatable and they resonate with meaning. Most importantly, MONICA is exactly what the world needs right now.

Everyone take a deep breath, relax and enjoy the spirituality provided by the likes of Jack Harlow.
