The thing about Y camp in the 2000’s is that if you were there you remember the atmosphere. You remember the polar bear swims at 6 in the morning and all the traditions that contributed to the unique nature of the era. Oh you don’t quite recall what went on? No worries – we’re here to fill you in on all the important details.
Nothing was better than having the roller skating rink in the same plaza as our YMCA. Many campers would strive to win Camper of the Week and that would be what they most anticipated about Fridays. What I loved about Fridays at camp was when my Mom would slide me a few extra dollars for speed skates and the pizza with diced pepperoni chunks. Something special surrounds the times when nobody understands why something is so good – it’s just good and here to be enjoyed. Nobody knew about DJ Destiny or how I would always speed up every time an uptempo rap song came on. Nobody had any idea about the rural roller skating rink yet all the incredible experiences gathered into a collection of memories over time.
With that in mind, we are going to transition to a specific scene of Adamball to follow up our second portion of the Summer Camp series. Consider it a part 1&2 before we detail parts 3&4 with Prisonball tales.

When morning meeting ends sooner the annual afternoon Adamball 4-way soccer action can start punctually as needed.
In terms of the intensity – it could not have ratcheted up to any level higher.
Admiration for the Crew and the spirit of Pele were alive and well on this day.
Many ran the pitch yet only one winner emerged.
Let us travel back through this simply incredible futbol competition with a handful of photographs.
