Westside Gunn Transcends Time with Pray for Paris Sequel – And Then You Pray for Me

Upon crafty consideration, Westside Gunn applied wizard-like touches to his latest release, “And Then You Pray For Me.” For those of you who enjoyed “Pray for Paris” you will most definitely find the sequel interesting.

Recently WSG went on Math Hoffa where he humorously made it seem like he holds the formula close to his chest. This artist exists as such an anomaly that his presence could never be duplicated. With that being said, he shares the formula by teaching a man to fish. Every artist that has ever been on a song with Westside Gunn comprises the blueprint of the Griselda umbrella. ☂️☂️☂️

An extremely prolific moment occurred once West briefly sampled, “One” by Ghostface Killah.

“Not 3. Not 2. I’m the *insert GFK* ONE !”

Flygod 2x

Additionally, this fine piece of artwork (clearly much more than a mixtape) sees WSG trying all new methods. On the title track – his vocal switch up raises the pitch and tone of his vocals to accentuate the effect of the song. On the song 1989 – the vocals drown out into a dripped out Houston type flow until Stove God Cooks [Syracuse] jumps on the track.

These releases magnificently continue to become greater and greater as this one received tremendous curation. Since finishing the executive production of Estee Nack’s, “Nacksaw” in the spring and for quite some time – Westside puts in the hours to prepare these projects.

Poignant Pressure Provides Plays

The most fascinating part about this movement continues to be the lane that it paves for the genre of hip-hop as a whole. The space that Westside Gunn creates exists as an Earth-shattering force. Once Conway the Machine, Westside Gunn and Benny the Butcher cracked the soil wide open – underground artists marvelously emerged from the cracks of the concrete.

There inlies great wisdom and knowledge from within these circles of influence. With boatloads of artists in the tuck – the roster continues to grow and progress prevails with every polished project. When artists receive features from anyone within the Griselda camp – they immediately know to put forth their strongest verse.

Excel Past Expectations

Therefore, Westside Gunn exceeds greatness over and above all else. With every album that he drops – the strength of the playback value exponentially increases. Subsequently, this latest offering tests the constructs of sound in ways nobody can wrap their head around. The best part is that nobody on the album had to be carried – all artists held their own and fulfilled their role with purpose.

That is the Westside Gunn effect – vision so vivid that he masterfully illuminates the brightest beam upon everything he partakes in. He knows exactly how to align an artist so that the bulb radiates effervescently upon them. When he brings artists come together to create a record – the execution of vision and utilization of talent speaks volumes as to the magnitude of this man.

It is unknown as to when WSG might tour again. Until then, enjoy the documentary [directed by Prolific Kid] he put together while traveling Europe after Paris Fashion Week to create And Then You Pray for Me.
